Settling down with your family in UAE requires a family visa to start with. The family visa allows the applicant’s parents. Spouse and children (age below 18 years) to enter UAE and get residency for up to 2 years. With the recent changes to the policies, the UAE cabinet has allowed flexibility to students to extend their visas up to 10 years. The applicant is also required to earn more than AED 4000 or AED 3000+accommodation to become eligible for this visa. 

Why a PRO is Needed?

The documents include application form, sponsor’s original passport, the parents/dependents passport copies with passport size photo, all attested from the embassy. The document must declare that the sponsor is the sole provider and holds legitimate relationship with the family/dependents. The PRO is will also take into account the applicant’s copy of contract with salary certificate from the current employer. The final document will be the tenancy contract which the PRO will show to the authorities. 

If the residence visa expires, the PRO is also responsible for the renewal to avoid any inconvenienced to the sponsor. Since the residence visa expires after 2 years, the PRO must start the renewal process at least a month before the final date. The documents are same as used in the first attempt.
